About Bailiwick Psychodynamic Counselling
Taking the step toward therapy is an act of courage. I believe that understanding our past is the key to unlocking a more intentional, peaceful future. Whether you are navigating a recent loss, struggling with identity, or simply feeling 'stuck,' I am here to walk that path with you.
My Experience & Approach
With over a decade of experience in the field, including five years dedicated to the Guernsey Bereavement Service, I have seen firsthand how profound loss can reshape a person’s world. My practice is rooted in Psychodynamic Theory, which means we look beneath the surface to understand the hidden patterns influencing your life today.
I believe therapy should be as unique as the person sitting across from me. To support your growth, I blend deep psychological insight with the forward-moving energy of goal setting and creative techniques, ensuring you have both the emotional depth and the practical tools you need to move forward.
Specialist Issues
I specialise in working with the following issues;
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Bereavement and Loss
- Neurodiversity
- Relationships
- Cultural Issues
- LGBTQ+
I also hold a deep professional interest in supporting both men and women through difficult fertility and/or perinatal challenges and have specialised training through the Foundation for Infant Loss. I provide a dedicated, sensitive space for those navigating the complexities of:
- Pregnancy and infant loss
- Infertility journeys and childlessness
- Postnatal mental health
- Diagnosis of medical conditions in infants
- The unique emotional transitions within women's health, including the menopause
I understand that these experiences are often deeply private and painful; my goal is to provide the specialised support and recognition they require.

Rebecca Humphries MBACP (Accred)
As a local counsellor in the Bailiwick, I am committed to supporting the mental well-being of our community. When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll likely find me enjoying the Guernsey beaches or visiting our beautiful neighbouring islands, which helps me stay grounded and present for the work we do together.
